Australia is leading an agriculture project in the Asia and Pacific region, in partnership with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology for Asia and the Pacific (RCA) to progress Atoms4Food.

Enhancing the science of rivets earns researcher early career award

Dr Rezwanul Haque, now a senior lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast, received a national Young Scientist Award for his earlier research using nuclear techniques at ANSTO’s Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering to find cracks and signs of stress in riveted joints in sheet metal in car bodies.

Deaf Youth Science Camp

The 2025 Deaf Youth Science Camp is a chance for Deaf/hard-of-hearing young people (aged 12-17 years old) to participate in an immersive science experience. At the camp, participants will do hands-on science activities, go on tours of different science facilities, and meet Deaf STEM professionals. The camp is also an opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills as well as enhance friendship networks.

Our school tours are designed to meet syllabus outcomes and enhance students’ understanding of nuclear science and technology.
