Merit Access Terms and Conditions
By submitting a proposal for Merit Access to ANSTO’s Biosciences, Centre for Accelerator Science, Isotope Tracing, Nuclear Stewardship or the Vivarium capabilities, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to external merit researchers, scientific collaborators and partners unless there is a specific agreement in place between ANSTO and the home institution of the Principal Investigator.
Deaf Youth Science Camp 2026
Deaf Youth Science Camp is back for 2026! Deaf Youth Science Camp (DYSC) is a fun 4-day immersive science experience for Deaf/hard-of-hearing young people (aged 12-17 years old). Held at ANSTO at Lucas Heights, Sydney, the camp is a mix of hands-on science activities, outdoor activities and excursions to nearby science centres. Participants will work with Deaf professionals to learn about careers in STEM, develop personal and leadership skills and meet new friends. This camp is hosted by Deaf Youth Australia and ANSTO, and funded by a National Science Week grant.

ANSTO has agreed to participate in an Australian trial of a review of research infrastructure access proposals in which applicants remain anonymous to aid the removal of structural barriers to the career progression of Women in STEM.
Workbooks
ANSTO provides secondary students with a range of learning resources for those interested in science or studying for exams. For teachers, ANSTO provides learning resources and professional development, as well as in-school-term science tours and videoconferences. Workbooks are provided as required learning material to accompany a school visit to ANSTO. They can also be used on their own as a classroom resource.
STEAM Club for Girls
Offered to girls in Years 5, 6 and 7, the STEAM Club encourages creative exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through the Arts (the A in STEAM).
