At ANSTO we use nuclear science and technology to tackle complex problems and deliver outcomes and benefits in the areas of human health, the environment and industry. We have ingenious people – who work across the organisation in engineering, nuclear operations, in corporate areas, in business development – to deliver solutions and achieve great things. Our Graduate Program provides opportunities for individuals to make a real difference to the lives of Australians.

We look for graduates who are passionate about making a contribution to Australian society through supporting nuclear science and technology. Throughout the program, you'll encounter a variety of stimulating projects and initiatives designed to enhance your skills. With hands-on involvement, guidance from seasoned professionals, and a training program, you'll acquire invaluable knowledge and expertise tailored to your specific career aspirations.

Our Graduate Programs offer:

  • a permanent employment opportunity on successful completion of the program
  • the chance to work on priority projects across four rotations
  • mentoring from some of Australia’s brightest minds and senior leaders
  • generous leave provisions, flexible work arrangements, access to support networks and employer funded learning and development

Applications for our 2027 Graduate Program will open in 2026.


Please note, our Graduate Program intake occurs every two years, no intake in 2026 or 2028.
