Shorebirds Competition 2022 results.

ANSTO Big Ideas encourages students to creatively communicate the work of an Australian scientist, and explain how their work has inspired them to come up with a Big Idea to make our world a better place. This competition is intended to engage and support Australian students in years 7-10 in Science and encourage them to pursue studies and careers in STEM.

Just under 250 schools in Australia and one school in Malaysia will participate in a series of science-based competitions during to coincide with National Science Week in 2024.

ANSTO provides secondary students with a range of learning resources for those interested in science or studying for exams. For teachers, ANSTO provides learning resources and professional development, as well as in-school-term science tours and videoconferences. Workbooks are provided as required learning material to accompany a school visit to ANSTO. They can also be used on their own as a classroom resource.

Over 250 students took part in ANSTO's annual Science and Engineering Challenge with an all-girl school taking top honours.

This science week ANSTO (August 10th - 18th) is running a classroom competition using the ANSTO Periodic Table and our new ANSTO XR app.

ANSTO scientists have been featured in the new issue of Careers with STEM Science, a publication produced for high school students, undergraduates and grads, careers advisors, teachers and parents to discover careers and study paths.
