Time is running out to apply for ANSTO’s FutureNow Scholarships. These scholarships, supported by the NSW Government, are for graduates or early-career researchers working on industry-focused research projects. Graduates can apply for a scholarship here and join the more than 120 early career researchers currently at ANSTO.  Hurry – applications close 27 November.

What are the FutureNow Scholarships?

Generously supported by the NSW Government, these scholarships are for early career researchers working on industry-focused projects in health, radiopharmaceuticals, defence, space, environment, nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear technologies. Successful candidates work under the guidance of some of Australia’s leading scientists. They may also obtain access to ANSTO’s state-of-the-art facilities to put their research to the test and develop workable solutions to real world problems. 

Five FutureNow Scholarships

These scholarships include stipends or salary top-ups of $10k, as well as up to $10k for approved research project costs, conferences and travel. 

Two FutureNow Plus Scholarships

These scholarships are ideally suited to early career researchers and offer stipends of up to $35k plus research project costs, conferences and travel allowance of up to $10k. 

Delivered in partnership

The scholarships are being delivered in partnership with UNSW, University of Wollongong, University of Sydney, University of Newcastle and Macquarie University, and Industry Partners such as Woodside Energy, Noxopharm, Cobalt Blue, Santos and Southeast Local Land Services.
