This poster shows the many applications of radioactive decay.

Chart of radionuclides

This poster explores information about radioactive decay, fission vs fusion, applications of nuclear science and displays the chart of radionuclides.

Star acclerator

Rutherford Backscattering

Rutherford backscattering primarily provides information about the concentration of elements VS depth in a light material.

Proposed new ANSTO waste facility

The independent nuclear regulator, ARPANSA, is currently accepting submissions about ANSTO’s planned $59.8 million Intermediate Level Solid Waste Storage Facility.

Plans to safely manage medical and research waste

ANSTO will make an application to the independent nuclear regulator, ARPANSA, to vary its license for its Interim Waste Store. The original operating license was approved in 2015, enabling the facility to hold what is called a TN-81 cask of intermediate-level radioactive waste that was safely repatriated from France in 2015.
