Bringing radiochemistry to life

Alex Lo is a distinguished Cyber Security Administrator at ANSTO, where he plays a pivotal role in fortifying the organization’s digital infrastructure.

Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS )/ Wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS)
The SAXS / WAXS beamline at the Australian Synchrotron is a highly flexible x-ray scattering facility with purpose-built optics and a very flexible endstation and SAXS camera enable multiple types of experiments.
Optoelectronic industry to benefit from cheap new chemical production process

Dr Bruce Begg is Executive Manager Consulting Services and Commercial Manager, Detection and Imaging.

THz - Far Infrared
The THz/Far-IR Beamline couples the high brightness and collimation of a bend-magnet synchrotron radiation to a Bruker IFS125HR spectrometer providing high-resolution spectra (0.00096 cm-1) with signal to noise ratio superior to that of thermal sources up to 1350 cm-1 for gas-phase applications; the beamline also delivers signal to noise ratio superior to that of thermal sources up to 350 cm-1 for condensed phase samples.

Bianca Shepherd is ANSTO’s Engineering Support Workshop Manager, confidently overseeing the manufacture and fabrication of equipment and specialised parts for critical Australian scientific and landmark infrastructure.

Sherry entered university, torn between the allure of science and the hands-on practicality of engineering. This lead her into the field of Material Science and Engineering.
