Andrew Peele was appointed Group Executive for ANSTO Nuclear Science and Technology in July 2021 and was Director of the Australian Synchrotron from 2013 -2021. He is an adjunct Professor of Physics at La Trobe University.

Since 1962, the United Uranium Scholarship has helped promising young scientists in the field of nuclear energy extend their knowledge and expertise. In 2022, scholarships were awarded to several ANSTO researchers, including Phil Sutton.
Radiotracers
ANSTO provides a range of radiotracers for pre-clinical and clinical research using the OPAL multipurpose reactor. Users can access more than 300 known radiotracers. If a starting material is provided, new and non-commercial radiotracers can be produced.
