Travel Funding

The Australian Synchrotron provides funding support for successful beamtime applicants in the form of travel funding and/or onsite accommodation. Travel funds granted are to be used solely to cover the majority of the cost to travel to the AS facility. The User Office will book accommodation for interstate user groups at the onsite AS Guesthouse.

Are you a Top Coder? Students from Year 5 and 6 that are interested in digital literacy are encouraged to compete in this interstate competition that combines the design challenges of robotics with coding.

2020 Shorebirds Competition Summary and Results

Primary students across Australia were invited to create a public awareness poster for a threatened shorebird found in Australia for our 2020 Shorebirds Competition. In response to COVID-19, and the changes to children’s learning environments, we opened the competition early and also included categories for individual children to enter, as well as school children.
