Visitor safety during COVID-19

We're excited to welcome visitors back to ANSTO for tours. Help keep our visitors and staff safe by following these guidelines during your visit:

If you have cold or flu symptoms, have recently returned from overseas or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, we ask you to please stay home.

Bring a mask

On our tours, you will visit our nuclear reactor and other important scientific facilities. Please bring your own mask with you on the day of your tour. We may ask you to wear it to help us protect our essential workers at ANSTO.

Maintain physical distancing – stay at least 1.5m apart, stand on the markers around displays and observe the capacities of each room.

Wash your hands regularly and use the hand sanitiser provided. 

 

The Discovery Centre is registered with the NSW Government as a COVID-Safe venue. To keep you safe, we are:

  • Checking visitors' temperatures on entry
  • Cleaning our facilities between tour groups
  • Providing masks to staff
  • Spacing our seating in line with NSW Government requirements
  • Making our touch screens and displays available with hand sanitiser nearby
  • Ensuring social distancing, room capacities, and other COVID-Safe measures are observed during tours

NSW Health requires ANSTO to collect your personal information for the purpose of contact tracing to help contain the spread of COVID-19. We may need to share your information with NSW Health if someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 lists ANSTO as a place they recently visited.
