QANT

QANT

An analysis program for viewing and analysing near-edge X-ray absorption fine-structure (NEXAFS) spectra.

Magnetism at ANSTO

Magnetism

As an experimental tool for the study of magnetism, neutron scattering is without equal in its range of applications.

Powder Diffraction beamline

Powder Diffraction

The Powder Diffraction beamline at the Australian Synchrotron is optimised for carrying out structural investigation under non ambient conditions and as a function of time.

Samples - Infrared microspectroscopy

Samples - Infrared microspectroscopy

The Infrared microspectroscopy microscopes can record spectra from a range of different samples; from thin microtomed sections to polished blocks and embedded particles. This section highlights the types of samples that can be analysed using the IRM beamline

Science series webinars

Science Series Webinars

The ANSTO Science Series is a live and virtual meet-up that focuses on the key capacities of ANSTO’s people, partners and facilities and how they are meeting global challenges in sustainable industries, medicine, advanced manufacturing and in accelerating small business.

IAEA and ANSTO partner to support women in nuclear science and technology

This week women in science from 16 countries came together like never before. Inspiring women, young and old, were the first to complete the W4NSEC (Women for Nuclear Science Education and Communication) program that is designed to support women who are wanting to improve their education and communication skills in nuclear science.

Cryogenic Permanent Magnet Undulator (CPMU) source for the BRIGHT Nanoprobe beamline

Nanoprobe beamline (NANO) - under construction

The BRIGHT Nanoprobe beamline provides a unique facility capable of spectroscopic and full-field imaging. NANO will undertake high-resolution elemental mapping and ptychographic coherent diffraction imaging. Elemental mapping and XANES studies (after DCM upgrade) will be possible at sub-100 nm resolution, with structural features able to be studied down to 15 nm using ptychography.
